au gré des randonnées

petites pensées, petits poèmes

“This collection of poems is like a box of poetic sweets. Each sweet is carefully composed, each time with a different texture, but always with a lot of love and attention to the ingredients. They are small and surprising flavour bombs that aim to take the reader into a short but powerful poetic moment of happiness.

Visually, too, there is indulgence. Through his photographs, Koen shares the beautiful places he has seen on his walks and the poetic experience that followed. He tries to take the reader to those places and the feeling he experienced there. Each poem is matched by a photograph and vice versa. Both reinforce each other, word and image flow together into one perfect whole.

petites pensées, petits poèmes

Collection of poems (French) — 2025

Au gré des randonnées is a collection of 33 short poems in French.

Since 2000, I have been living in Central-Australia. The beautiful Australian landscape has provided the inspiration for writing these poems.

Most poems came about from little walks or longer hikes in Australia, some from overseas travels.

These poems are about:

— little thoughts (‘petites pensées’): something during the walk that got my attention, that I wanted to capture with a photo and a poem.

This Collection of poems will be published in 2025.

The collection is currently not yet available:

— Paperback book (A5): see …

Serpentine Gorge (Ulpma), West MacDonnell Ranges (Tjoritja),

Northern Territory, Australia II/2024

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
